An elegant rehearsal dinner under a heated tent was a twist for a November wedding. The bride & her mom are both creative & detailed. Setting such a clean modern look with an organic twist was exactly what they were wanting. We LOVE it !!!

Preparing to holiday decorate!

For those of you who are starting on your christmas decorations... here are some helpful hints...

1.  Use duct tape on your outside lights so they don't short out during the rain & snow. 

2.  Place your lights on a timer to conserve some energy.  If you REALLY want to conserve energy, invest in LED lights.  They cost more per box however use 1/3 of the energy as traditional lights.   If you REALLY REALLY want to conserve energy, there is a new line of solar lights..... however.... it is not very sunny around here during Nov & Dec which means you lights won't burn very bright. 

3.  Post It hook DOOOOO tear up drywall walls... only use them on glass or wood surfaces.  They will pull the paper off of drywall & paint from plaster after being up one month.

4.  Most importantly, your decorations should reflect your homes style & family.  So let the little ones help put on the ornaments.

Another wedding season.... almost over

I have been a HORRIBLE blogger over the summer.  Thankfully we have been VERY busy.  I want to recognize some of the great things we have done and post some photos, BUT I haven't taken to many.  I posted some events on youtube, but will get new pics on the photo albums soon.  We have had great events all OVER the tristate.   Soon being within the next year. LOL..  We are already booking up for next May & June... so if you got that ring, call soon!  We need to get you on the books!  I am looking forward to my first vacation this year the first week of November, I am hoping I come back with new inspirations and ideas for the brides of 2009.  A great shot of an outdoor wedding in May... simple & to the point!  Thanks Courtney... what a great bride, not to mention a great friend!

Rental Items & More

At Welborn's we are more than just alot of pretty pictures. Almost every linen, centerpiece stand, dancefloor and more are available for rent at our rental & event store location. SOOO.. if you are on a budget, but you would like to look like your NOT come in and see what a great upscale linen can do for your cake table or think outside of the traditional white aisle runner.... we carry red, black, ivory, khaki, blue & other color options to spice up your walk down the aisle.

We have full chair covers and chairback covers in stock with a variety of chair ties to match your event. If you just want something extra fancy done to your dancefloor.... we can do that too, even if we aren't decorating everything else.

For corporate holiday parties coming up.... we can rent you the elements you need to fill a room. Uplighting, extra trees, photo backdrops, centerpieces and even more! If you would like to sit down and discuss a THEME for you holiday party give us a call to set up an appointment. Otherwise, our windows are now dressed for christmas and hopefully can get some ideas going for you.
